Amazing beach destination to relax and unwind. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the beach bar is beautiful. You have low cost souvenir shops and many activities to do. Will be back someday.
ONLY spent one night here but it was very special. An abandoned Cretan village now turned into a tasteful, sophisticated hotel with opportunities for wine tastings and spa treatments if desired. EXCELLENT restaurant with great wine list. Breakfast offers a variety of choices. Staff are obliging and friendly. I have seen other posts which say the prices are high for Crete but I don'g think you can compare this level of accommodation, food and service with other hotels in Crete.
Small resort on the hill overlooking the sea. New pool is sweet. We had a hot tub room, which was perfect. We overheard others with saying the private pools were too cold to hang out in. Breakfast was delicious. Walking to the beach town nearby was fun. Roads are very narrow and dark at night. It’s easy to get a cab back to the hotel.
This place was amazing! Definitely the nicest lodging I have ever stayed in. We stayed in the Gaia suite which had an infinity pool that overlooked the ocean directly off of the cliff. The staff was incredibly nice and helped with anything we needed. The only downside I can even think of is that the food and drinks were expensive, but it makes sense for a place as nice as Acro. However, On our way out, they gave us a free lunch box with a sandwich and fruit - so thoughtful!

A big reason to come to Crete and stay in Heraklion is Captain Napoleon. Fantastic breakfast included, wonderful rooftop views, nice pool, good room with balcony, not far from the airport and ferries, and best of all the staff went truly above and beyond to make our stay and vacation great.
We stayed in a standard room in the main building and it was so lovely! The breakfast was awesome and the walk down to the village was convenient. This hotel has a lovely restaurant attached with great food. Zaros Lake is just around the corner. My favorite part was the spring water running down the side of the road. Wonderful all inclusive family resort. I was worried the beach would be rocky, but it was sandy and water was clear. Staff were friendly and attentive.
