We were looking for a place to stay north of Lyme Regis and theJurassic Coast for just a night. We happened upon Lanes by chance and gave it a shot. We were thrilled beyond expectation. We wound up in one of their apartments, which was a bit pricy, but welcome change from charming but cramped B&Bs. They are spacious, beautifully and generously appointed. The staff were lovely, and very kind to our kids.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Nethleigh. I stayed in the room called The Snug, and it admirably lived up to the name. It was comfortable and very cozy. There was a small fireplace in the room with wood provided for a crackling fire, though I didn't make one. We had a lovely large comfortable clean room off the pub gardens. The bathroom was huge and handicap accessible if you needed that. Toured England by car, staying at 8 locations, mostly B&Bs and pubs. The King Arms positioned us nicely between Portsmouth and Bath in a quiet hamlet outside of the Weymouth center. The room was very comfortable for three adults and could easily serve a family of four. We found the three entrees we ordered for dinner to be excellent and the next morning's breakfast only added to our satisfaction.
