I liked the friendliness of the staff and the hotel design and ambience. I did not like that the bed was smaller than a queen, the sheets were rough. There were crowds of people right outside the hotel or in the lobby celebrating very loudly from about 11:30 pm until 2 am. At that time it appeared that they came up and occupied the room directly above us, jumping, thumping and dancing(?) until after 3 am. We never got much sleep. We heard later there had been a wedding.

I was a little nervous to stay here at first but we had a great night around the area! Room was small but cozy & the shower was amazing!

Super classy. Well decorated. It very much reminds me of the hotel in the show Altered Carbon. Super secure. I tried to go to the speakeasy. It seemed like exactly what I wanted. I was worried about parking and the safety of my car. The hotel only has street parking, but they do have valet parking in a locked garage for $30 nightly. It was worth the peace of mind for myself. The hotel is nice! The lobby was great, really big, lots of seating. A bar and a restaurant inside the lobby. The elevator is keycard activated to reach the floors which is an added peace of mind. The Moxy Downtown was a vibe. Great employees and excellent customer services. I loved the art and the food court inside. The gym was fantastic and great to get one of my trainings done while traveling. The room was very cute and modern. I loved how Portland it all was. Would definitely stay here again.

A convenient stay for a work trip.

I stayed here as a solo traveler for 2 nights and had a great experience. The check in and out process was easy and quick. This is a well-lit property located in a quiet and safe area of town, conveniently near the airport. Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. The room was exactly as pictured. I cannot speak highly enough of my experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Portland City Center. After an extremely difficult situation at another hotel, I had to check in here just before midnight. The transition was seamless and the staff went above and beyond—assisting with my bags and making me feel immediately welcomed during a very stressful time. Good: Location was really good. Steps away from Pioneer Place Mall. Walkable to a lot food areas. Rooms were clean and look very modern and simple. Especially the bathroom. Valet guys were awesome. Also the hotel smell really nice. Bad: No free wine testing on Friday when we arrived as advertised. Bathroom doesn't have an exhaust fan, so probably bring an air spray when dropping a deuce as the windows of the hotel can't be opened. I love that they have a free ice and water...

Great place!

The room style was old fashion motel and small. However, it was very clean and well kept. What amazed me was how quiet it was. I slept well and that was so important.

We weren't sure what to expect for a reasonable priced hotel near PDX but we were amazed at how nice this little hotel was. The suite was ready for a weeklong stay with a nice small kitchen with real plates, glassware, pots and the works. We only stayed one night. Nice size fridge and nicely decorated room (May 2017). Great small hotel with a nice comp breakfast, separate indoor pool house and grills for guests. Staff was always friendly and we'd love to stay here again.

We come through PDX frequently and this has become our go-to hotel. Good service, large rooms, relatively good breakfast, dining options nearby.
