My husband and I have stayed at the Hampton Inn in Elizabeth City twice. Both times, the facilities and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast we had, every day, was wonderful, and the kitchen staff was very accommodating. There was a problem with our toilet running when flushed, but they got someone to fix it right away. We WILL stay there again.

We have been coming to Corolla for 32 years and always rented a house. This year it was just my husband and I for a last minute 4 night getaway. We were pleasantly surprised just how nice the Hampton Inn at Corolla was. We had a king room with a partial ocean view on the second floor. Unless your room is on the third floor, the view really doesn't mean much. We had a nice view of the pools. The room had a king bed, sleeper sofa, reading chair, desk, small refrigerator (no freezer) and...
The renovations done to this motel really made my stay as comfortable as ever. Excellent value. I usually do not sleep well on hotel beds. I slept as well as I do at home. It made the difference with the 8 hour drive ahead of me.
Extremely courteous and well prepared hotel staff...this for me makes for an excellent accommodation, room was very comfortable and I was even asked which floor I would prefer..restaurants near by with good menus...which included fish, my first preference....a nice 2 mile walk to the waterfront and a quaint downtown area...
I normally stay at this Comfort Inn while traveling to or thru this small town. The staff at the hotel are friendly. They have a good warm breakfast. The sitting/eating area is small -- should you come with a large party (let's say more than 10 people) you will have trouble with seating and space in the kitchen. Overall, this hotel is comfortable in looks and atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again and recommend a friend/family.
