This is an older hotel - kinda feels like visiting my grandma. That said, the rooms are spacious, the folks are super friendly. If you need 5-star, go elsewhere. If you want friendly and affordable with good amenities, stay here. I stay here every time I travel to a Bay Area race.
San Anselmo is a wonderful place to visit with beautiful surroundings, shops and restaurants. It’s hard to believe huge cities are just over the small mountain. The biggest thing for us was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Most memorable were Melanie who checked us in and Kyle who took care of us most of the time. We were there for our parents' 50th anniversary and were just blown away by Kyle's warm hospitality, and thoughtfulness throughout our stay.
