Natalia was extremely helpful. Google Maps will try to tell you it’s on a 8 min walk to the ferry. It’s much longer.

Gorgeous hotel with amazing views of the city. Although it is a little outside the city, you can walk (about 30-45 minutes) or the hotel provides transportation at certain times of the day.
To enter the Hotel Excelsior Splendide is to experience the gently fading grandeur of another age. Yes, we had a 'room with a view' of the lake, with the ferries and hydrofoils, the passeggiata, the sun setting over the early 20th Century and George Bloody Clooney's villa somewhere over there. The hotel boasts several sets of plush lounges in the lobby, a restaurant, a lift, and a magnificent marble staircase which we used by preference, because we can, and really just for the grandeur of it...
Hotel staff service is excellent, served chilled juice at check in and always were helpful. Recommend having them set up a rental boat for you! The pool is heated and comfortable. Close to town. Only complaint was the bed is to firm. But I'd still come back happily!!
The property, rooms and staff were all amazing. The family that owns the hotel are very hospitable and welcoming. We had a lovely evening chatting with them about a local festival l. It was very memorable.
However, if you did not rent a car buyer beware that it is a long and steep climb/walk to the hotel from any bus stops or ferries. And Ubers/taxis are hard to come by. Other than that the walk itself is beautiful just a little bit difficult.
Outstanding visit--very classy place! Felt like an Italian princepessa in her family palazzo! Shopping out the front door, excellent meals at 1-star Michelin restaurant, Mistral, and the lakeside cafe. Breakfast was an unexpected feast, beautifully presented. Staff could not be better, Concierge happy to help with the smallest of questions and details. Lake Como is stunning, and Serbelloni is well-known for excellence in this part of the world.
Hidden gem tucked in Lenno - easy access to ferry (across the street from hotel). Ferry can take you to any destination in the lake but Bellagio is a must see. Get in, hop in hop out the ferry and be amazed!
Great hotel. On the lake. Clean and modern. Very comfortable and pleasant experience. Rooms are not large by US standards, but still big enough to be plenty comfortable. Breakfast buffet was very good, and service at onsite restaurant was impressive. Glad I had a car. Seems like hotel would be pretty inconvenient without one. What can I say? This hotel was absolutely amazing, from the top-notch hotel service at the front desk to the property cleanliness; it outshined every hotel I’ve ever been to in my life. The town of Menaggio is very walkable and can be seen in half a day, so if you want to fill up your itinerary, you can take a ferry to Bellagio, or Varenna. Beautiful spot with lovely gardens and terraces from which to enjoy gorgeous Lake Como. Room was very small, but we did not spend a great deal of time there. Lovely breakfast which could be eaten outside weather permitting, on a nice terrace. If I went back, I might spring for a larger room...

The rooms were spacious enough for the two of us and were very clean.

Small hotel with few amenities on property but perfect if you are looking for a room right on the water and easily walkable. The staff was very helpful with any request. Also offered complimentary transfer to the train or ferry which was very convenient.
We’ve been on a tour of different countries and this hotel was one of our favorites! The staff was so nice, and consistently went above and beyond. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We had a beautiful view of the lake from our room, but we spent most of our time on the patio downstairs anyway. We’d recommend this place to anyone!
