Altapura richly deserves its 5-star rating. The resort is spectacular, and all the amenities are at one's fingertips. The ski school or instructors meet you there, the rentals and ski departures are just at the door, the food, wines, and all amenities are first rate. We took our 9-year old granddaughter and by the end of the week she had made fast friends with 6 other children. It was such a pleasure to stay at this unique establishment. The hosts take you in welcoming the place explaining their unique way of life. The location is great, next to parking lot right in town. The sauna on a rooftop with a stargazing bubble and mountain views is spectacular. The charcuterie plate serves thick cuts of local meats and cheese, don’t miss it. The dog Neige is a great St. Bernard welcoming you along with two cats.
