"I stayed in one of the dorm studio rooms, and it was fantastic! The room was spacious and quiet and clean. It had an efficient air conditioner which worked well and didn't smell of mildew. They had a shared laundry amenity which I didn't end up needing, but was good to have available since everything is so humid in Hilo, damp clothes won't dry on their own. I used the hot plate in the room to reheat some leftovers, which saved me some time and money on going to a restaurant. I would recommend this place if you're staying in Hilo for a few days"

"Generally this is a good place to stay. The view is fantastic and you can see the bay from the balcony of the room directly. The only issue is that there is no AC. Therefore, it is not a good idea to live here if the weather is too hot. The facilities are a little bit old but it still well deserves the price. If you are pursuing quality-price ratio, this is a very good choice."

"Gorgeous setting and a nicely appointed house - had everything we needed! Communication through text/email for the check-in process was very straightforward. Our kids had a blast playing in the waterfall and sleeping in the loft. The stargazing is AMAZING if you get a clear night. This was a perfect, peaceful home base for exploring the Hilo side of the Big Island!"

"The ac works great , the room was extremely nice and clean. Room has both blinds and curtains. It is above Paul’s cafe which has great food. It is central in Hilo and most things are within walking distance. Farmers market is just down the street. It’s a small quaint hotel with nice rooms, plenty of parking. You should enjoy it as much as we did."

"Loved the view of Coconut Island and being able to explore near by. Didn't like the ripped/stained curtains for the lanai. Restraunt was excellent. Vending machine gave us warm sodas and ice machine didnt work majority of the time for the floor we were on."

"Definitely stay here! The rooms are lovely as are the hosts. It's right on the water, a short walk or drive to the main shops & farmers market. Also a short drive to many lovely beaches. The breakfast was incredible - and they even accomodated gluten-free. Really great overall, great deal and we'll stay again if on Hilo!"
