Rooms were nice, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Parking was available. Not too far from historic downtown and the river, just a short taxi drive. Only issue we had was the fact that you had to drive out to find restaurants, we did not try to walk because it seemed complicated. There is a shopping mall a few minutes away with an excellent food court.
The hotel was great. The staff was very helpful and spoke multiple languages. Super easy to get into the old town. Take a bus or trolley right outside the hotel. Right on the river and much nicer than being in the noise and construction of the city center. Highly recommend.
This is a delightful, boutique-like hotel in a neighborhood - about 20 minutes to the center of things...30 minutes to the train station & and harbor.
The staff is helpful an pleasant. Check-in & out were effortless. My room was impeccably clean. Seems to be a solo or couple sort of accommodation...don't imagine it would interest families much. Hotel Jaguar was a nice new property. The staff was great! Extremely helpful and informative. They offer a city tour which was a really nice touch and a hotel shuttle included in your stay. Would definitely stay here again!
We loved our three night stay at Memoria Porto. The staff treated us like royalty and our room overlooked the Douro River. One tip, we can offer is to take the # 500 bus to the coast and pay a lot less for authentic Portugese food, wine, and beer. We will definitely be back. The morning breakfast was filling and delightful.
Beautiful property in a very walkable part of Porto. The breakfast was AMAZING and the staff were so friendly. We did a mother daughter trip and loved being able to sit on the balcony off our room or at the rooftop bar and enjoy some wine and the sunset in the evening.
I almost never leave reviews for anything because I always believe that what is considered excellent for some people may not be for me and vice-versa. We had a great experience at the hotel. It looks a bit smaller and simpler than a 4-star hotel, but the amenities are nice and we also enjoyed the breakfast every morning. The pizza restaurant, where breakfast is every morning, can be very crowded in the evenings on the weekend.
