I stayed for one night on a business trip in the area. We arrived after dark and left before sunrise so we didn't see much of the landscape but what we saw of the hotel grounds was very charming. Think green fields, nice gardens, and quaint stone buildings. The room that I stayed in could have used a bit of an upgrade in terms of furniture, TV, and carpet but the bedding was very nice and the bathroom had just been remodeled. We had the opportunity to go for dinner in the restaurant which ended...
I highly highly recommend staying here. The castle was cool, very peaceful, calm, and very clean. We got in late and Christian was able to make a couple phone calls and find us an excellent place to eat. It ended up being the best meal of the entire trip! Homemade jam and juice topped off the morning. We are sad that we could not stay longer!!
What an amazing place. Calm, quiet, and french air are the top things that come to mind. The rooms were clean, the food was delicious. I only wish we had time to walk by the river or try out the beautiful pool. We'll be coming back here soon.
As an American in a foriegn country, there are challenges with languages and services. We're spoiled here in the US. Big gyms, ice machines on every floor, etc. FIrst person I encountered spoke English well, room was made up every day and overall stay was enjoyable. Entering building from other than the main doors only negative. Will definitely return when staying in the area.
