"No heating inside the room even after complaining at the reception, they gave me a little device to warm up the room but the noise was horrible. Couldn't sleep. No hot hoter when trying to shower - it happened on my last night. Also have some photos from lack of cleaning. Being a frequent user of Expedia, I expect a full return of money from this extremely bad experience."

"Only thing we regret is that we only started one night here as we on the way from Portugal to Spain! We couldn’t say enough about this historical hotel and can’t wait to expect one day we return for the longer stay. The free breakfast was served on an ancient stone table, hotel also served a wonderful dinner, it was delicious! Entire place was like a giant storyteller, the ancients buildings and its exhibitions brought you back a thousand years. A beautiful garden and courtyard with partially existing cloister ….. the hotel location also very close to the Portuguese only national park, Peneda-Gerês National Park, not far from Braga. Ideal location between Portugal and Spain! "

"Place is wonderful, clean with an amazing view on the mountains. Very good restaurant at a walkable distance. Breakfast was very good also.
There was a dog barking 2-3 times during the night ( both nights)that we could hear from our room… other than that our stay was perfect!
