Thanks to Rawan's help, l was able to visit Abu Simbel safely.

We really loved our experience at Kato Waidi! The staff were so kind and helpful, the food was delicious, and the location was both peaceful (it’s right on the river!), as well as interesting (it’s right beside a Nubian craft market). Our only challenge was that the AC had a hard time cooling our room, but it was also 117 degrees so I think any AC would have struggled :)

I gave 5 star for Hamo He working in the kitchen he is really really nice guy and his english is good thank you Hamo

Beautiful small hotel. Really nice and helpful staff. Not a 5 star place but attractive decor for a Nubian experiencea. Really excellent cook. Many stairs. Hard mattress.

Abdo made my stay in Aswan unforgettable! He provided a great breakfast every morning and even arranged my trips to Philae Temple, Abu Simbel as well as a transport to Luxor. Thank you very much!

If there was a 10 star rating I could select I would. The hotel is beautiful right on the Nile. The Nubian architecture and ambiance is stunning. Karim and is whole team gave my wife and I one the best experiences we’ve ever had. From arranging taxis, boat rides as well as providing us with recommendations for Egyptologists They truly made us feel at home and like family. The chef came and introduced himself our first out of our four night stay. He accommodated our Vegetarian diets superbly....

This is a lovely and unique property. The hotel itself is a piece of art. The staff is kind and welcoming. The view from there is absolutely amazing! But it’s a hard to find place. There are no signs or paved roads to get to the hotel and as this is a new property most of the people on the village don’t know where it is. But once you get there, it’s worth the challenge to find it!

The elegance the history the location. I have stayed all over the world, The Old Cataract is probably the best one.

This is an amazing location - the hotel is built on a series of levels high on a rock outcrop that overlooks the ancient Egyptian Philae Temple with stunning 360° views. The rooms are each individually designed, all have pools or spas, and the staff are wonderful. You can only reach the hotel by boat so it’s not the place for busy executives (although WiFi is very good.) there’s the BenBen meditation rock and lots to think about.

The owner is very friendly and speaks perfect English. He arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport and bring us to the hotel. The area in front of the hotel is beside the river. There was some construction happening on the the building that was a little inconvenient at the entrance, but the room was great! Cold air conditioning, comfortable beds ample sized room with beautiful view of the Nile and boats out the window.

Eco Nubia is a magical place. The staff is super friendly and always making sure you have everything you need. Muhammed is the sweetest Nubian I’ve met. He made sure I had transportation from and to the airport (even if it was at 2am). The hotel also arranged the tours to Luxor and Abu Simbel. The food is amazing, and when my tour was earlier in the morning, they were sure to prepare a to go breakfast. The rooms were always clean, with an amazing friendly staff. No AC but it did not bother me...

Very nice new hotel in Aswan. The views of the Nile are incredible and the rooftop restaurant is a great place to enjoy a coffee or dinner while watching the feluccas sail up and down the river. The property is brand new so some kinks are still being worked out, but I predict this place will be a fantastic stay in Aswan. The staff are incredibly friendly (they prepared us breakfast bags on the day we left) and were happy to help. Hotel can also arrange tours and taxis.

Absolutely.

Likes: very clean, lots of amenities including microwave, staff is very helpful. View is spectacular! Dislikes: mediocre food, small bathroom and excessive water spills from shower onto bathroom floor. Its a 4.5 for me.
