It definitely had the old English charm that I was looking for. My room overlooked the waterway which was nice. There’s a Costco close enough to get anything you might have forgotten. The pub next door served the complementary breakfast and other meals throughout the day. On Friday night they had live entertainment which was very nice.

My family of four stayed in this lovely inn at the end of December 2015. We were looking for a place to stay between attending a Manchester United Football game and visiting the English countryside. This location was perfect! It allowed us to stay out of the city in a more relaxed and less commercial inn, so that we could truly get a feel for the area. Bedroom was clean .. only thing I could suggest is having a phone for housekeeping such as needing toilet roll extra otherwise need to go down to reception .. check in and checkout was fairly easy no hassle .. tea and coffee was also downstairs and unlimited - good feature but can make it bit easier if had kettle in the room .. also was advised tap water was drinkable .. maybe a filtered water machine could be a great asset.

Stay with fabulous. Staff was top-notch, food was delicious and accommodations were new and impeccably maintained.

I've stayed at Hotel Football three times whilst attending the Radar Festival, which was held at the 02 Victoria Warehouse, across the street from the hotel. All three stays have been very enjoyable. You can have all your meals at the hotel if you want, which is very convenient. It's clean, cool, and comfy. From the hotel I could walk to the movie theater- which was great! Well managed property. Good location for restaurants, shopping and transportation. Front desk staff were very helpful. Good price for the location.

I suggest midweek cleaning of the room and change of beddings

I had a choice of hotels in Leeds or the Black Horse. I'm so glad I chose the latter. Some extra driving, but great to be in a historic building in a historic area, and so close to the motorway and service station.
