We loved our stay at Casanova in the superior room. The location is perfect, an easy drive into Braga and also a great launching point for Geres. No worries about parking at Casanova; free, secured and flat parking lot. Owner Anna will tell you exactly where to park in Braga. This place is an absolute gem. We felt like guests at a private country estate. Our room was very clean and well furnished. The morning breakfast was better than most. Our only problem was that the wireless internet was useless at our room. Perhaps the host needs a range-extender closer to the remote room that we had.

it was a wonderful one-night stay in an historic building that has been perfectly upgraded while preserving its architectural identity. The breakfast was excellent and the hotel was centrally located near both the train station and the old town (a very quaint place). The parking in front of the hotel was for free, which is a definite plus. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Viana do Castelo.
