Amazing stay!! Starting with seamless communication with Pauloch prior to arrival due to travel delays and continuing with greetings upon arrival with such a warm welcome. Excellent experience, overall. The hotel is gorgeous and the ocean views are unbeatable. The property is very well taken care of and the staff were awesome—very friendly and accommodating. Ribeira Grande is a bit remote from Central Ponta Delgada, but everything is far away around the island anyway. A rental car is a must in São Miguel and having a car will make your experience more enjoyable all around.

We really loved our stay at Furnas. The hotel staff was nice and helpful, breakfast buffet was excellent (it didn’t vary over the 5 days though), the cabin was great and we made good use of our kitchenette (microwave didn’t work). The pool isn’t heated and the weather gets a bit chilly in certain days but it’s not profound so it wasn’t too bad. The hotel proposed a zip line activity which was a lot of fun. I didn’t want to leave. We had a view of the ocean. The beach near the hotel is lovely. Great breakfast buffet. The pool was perfect. I would definitely return.
Private gated villa located in great town. Local hot springs are less than a 10 minute walk. Staff was great, cleaned daily, did laundry upon request, left local foods after each cleaning. Overall a wonderful stay.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The whole property was lovely. Breakfast was an assortment local cheese, fruit juices and teas. But mostly, the staff! They were the jewels in the crown.
Until I moved into another hotel in Ponta Delgada, I had two minor complaints. 1) the tea at breakfast was made with tapwater rather than non-chlorinated bottle water. 2) the swimming pool was cold (this is in February their wettest month).

Very spacious and clean place to stay for your visit to Sao Miguel island in the Azores. Not only were the facilities and amenities amazing, but the staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly, and also held our bags and provided a list of things to do, restaurants, and more. Parking is not located immediately in front of the door to enter but free parking is only a few steps away. We’d highly recommend this place for your trip to the Azores!
The staff let us have a room on arrival at 7:00 a.m., instead of waiting until check-in at 2:00 p.m.. The staff provided us with maps, good walking directions, possible tours, and even charged our cell phones on their computer. The breakfast each day was a delight, fresh pineapple and melon, delicious cheeses and baked goods. Ham and local sausage.
My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights before heading off to Santa Maria for some diving. The place worked out well for us and had everything we needed. It was about a 10 or so minute walk to the water/downtown area and it was safe for us at night. Regardless, a cab was around 5-7 euro I believe.

this was a tremendous vacation, everything in the hotel is suited to pamper the guests. Service is impeccable, anyone you encounter whether its the chef, the waiters, front desk, spa and even the manager will smile and look for ways to be helpful. the rooms are comfortable and well equipped , the showers are small but nice especially the rainforest head. the hotel's restaurant is the best one we experienced in the islands, the spa and thermal pools are really great after a day of travelling
