Excellent experience, overall. The hotel is gorgeous and the ocean views are unbeatable. The property is very well taken care of and the staff were awesome—very friendly and accommodating. Ribeira Grande is a bit remote from Central Ponta Delgada, but everything is far away around the island anyway. A rental car is a must in São Miguel and having a car will make your experience more enjoyable all around.

A nice B&B with the ocean view in Sao Rouge away from Ponta Delgada but close to the airport without airport noise. Nice staff cook breakfast to your order. Parking is a bit tricky need to jump the sidewalk curb but a little easier after few times. Two restaurants (Cais 20 and Forte Terrace) nearby are in walking distance and food and services are so good, we went back several times during our six nights stay.
This hotel is fantastic, but I would suggest having a rental car if you stay here. It's ideal for getting to a lot of places on the island but staying very convenient to Ponta Delgada and the many restaurants there in the evening. We went out on excursions every day, and many tour operators picked us up directly at the hotel.

This is an excellent hotel. We loved it. The facade looks old fashioned but it is modern inside. The room is large and super clean and most have balconies. It has a large pool and a huge pool area with loungers and tables. Breakfast is included and excellent. The staff is the best. Super nice and helpful. Maria called several restaurants for reservations and came out to the pool to inform us. Perfect central location.
