It is isolated from any noise, in the nature. If we only knew, we would stay there for a week minimum!

Of all of the places we stayed in Sri Lanka, we most enjoyed our time here. The staff, service, facilities, and food were wonderful. This is an oasis and a fantastic place to stay during your visit to Sigiriya. Check out time is 12:00, which is perfect for an early morning climb in Sigiriya with a delicious breakfast and swim in the pool to relax before moving on.
This is a beautiful peaceful forest resort nestled in a rural forest like area not too far from Sigiriya fort, Dambulla cave temple and Minneriya national park, which were the three attractions we saw in the area. The resort has a great spread of both international and local options breakfast and dinner buffet on weekdays and lunch buffet too on Fridays and Saturdays. A la carte menu is limited but sufficient and we'll prepared.

Beautiful and tranquil location on a quiet lake. Stayed in a wonderful cabin surrounded by nature. A charming Eco tourism hotel. Fantastic pool, delicious food. The friendly local staff takes great pride in offering guests an outstanding retreat.
This property is pretty unique in its location, away from "the rest of the world". You really are in nature, surrounded by nothing else than rice paddies, lake, and such a variety of birds. It is peaceful, staff are very friendly and helpful, food is excellent and will accommodate vegetarian and gluten free needs. There is nothing I can fault our experience on!
The property was set just about 2mins from the main highway, making it very quiet. We loved that we couldn't hear any vehicles at all.
The property was filled with lots of trees and we could hear and see peacocks many times during the day freely roaming around.
The restaurant was very clean and spacious. We liked the breakfast very much. The staff was very courteous as well.

We loved this hotel! We spent 2 nights in the tree house and could not have been happier with our choice. The staff were amazing- incredibly accommodating and caring. They made sure we had a fantastic stay. Food was amazingly good. The tree house was killer- literally monkey's running in the trees at your eye level and very private! Bathroom was straight out of a magainze - the outdoor shower has a tree growing in it!
A note on the tree house- the second night there were dogs from the local...
Beautiful setting. I was a bit confused about advertised lake who is actually not on the property and holds little for guests. Pool area was wonderful very quiet with trees and birds.

A few niggles: Breakfasts like all in Sri Lanka could use some tweaking with toast presented first to go cold and items not offered but available such as tomatoes or bacon: readily provided when requested. Spider life is rampant so staff could pay more...
We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Otunna Guesthouse. We came in later then anticipated, and Dinesh, the owner, was in constant contact with us. They offered fresh passionfruit juice on arrival, and made the most delicious breakfast every morning that was probably the best spread all trip.
