We stayed with our adult children at the Hotel Obermaier during Octoberfest. It was all that we had hoped for. It is a traditional hotel with a good restaurant attached. It is convenient by Metro to downtown Munich. It is much more reasonably priced than closer-in hotels. Our room and bathroom were comfortable. The breakfast was unbelievably generous and delicious. We will definitely stay at the Hotel Obermaier if we are fortunate enough to return to Munich, particularly during Octoberfest.

Our stay was absolutely excellent, I'm so glad I found this hotel after looking at over 50 options near the Old Town area of Munich. We needed a room that had two separate beds (more difficult to find) as we had our exchange student with us and a Clubhouse Room on the 2nd floor was perfect! The space in our room was wonderful, extremely clean and comfortable, and our room was remarkably quiet facing a courtyard. Though we didn't use any of the common spaces, they looked great.
