We wanted a hotel near the airport for our last day in Cartagena. We loved Summer hotel! It's across from the beach and the pool is small but enough for a quick dip to cool down. My friend and I (2 women) stayed one night and felt safe and looked after by staff. Our room was large and clean. We felt we were among locals and not in a tourist enclave. The best part was being able to walk to the airport for our morning departure flight with no worries about being there on time due to traffic.

It is on a public beach so you have to be aware of vendors also the area outside the hotel can be walked through but only in the day
From the moment I arrived I knew I just found my new vacation resort. From the bar staff, to the cleaning staff, to the hotel management .. a perfect vacation. I will defiantly return. Job well done!!
It was very comfortable. Although I had to take a room in the second floor and with multiple beds. I reserved for only one bed. That was very uncomfortable. That is good for groups but not for me that I was traveling alone.
Backyard to hotel is the beach, but far from town need transport to go anywhere, transportation is readily available of course at your cost. Beautiful, clean, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Very pleased.

The stay at Wyndham started off bumpy, but Orlando saved the day. First room- the a/c sounded like a high powered vacuum. So Orlando was able to change my room. The rest of the stay was excellent. Staff is helpful. Best mojito in Cartagena is made on the 13th floor. Reasonable menu too. Uber from the Wyndham to any point of interest is most $3-$4 the most. Glad we selected this hotel.

Privado was so cute and safe to stay inside the walled city. It is a must to stay here, it is walkable to everything. The best thing is that the walls are sound proof so you are able to sleep in and any noise or party going on outside you won’t hear. Staff is so sweet and so helpful with restaurants ect around the area. You are a short 5-7 min walk to the clock tour and downtown area. I will be returning back and staying at privado with my family.
Room was nice and comfortable the only thing i didn't like is there is no microwave mini fridge or ice machine. And the last time i stayed here in 2024 i could have as many guest as i wanted 1 at a time of course with no extra charge. This time i had to pay the same amount as the room for one night for a guest. Other than that the place is in the perfect location
