Clean modern room. Very nice common spaces. Dinner reasonably priced and well presented, but a little disappointing. I had the pulled beef and mushroom Wellington. Pulled beef is just a euphemism for beef puree. Some pieces of meat would have been nice. Breakfast was good. This place is much better value for money than the airport Radison Blu and you can walk to and from the terminals. However, you do have to walk in the open which would not be good in rain.
Great hotel if you have an early morning flight or you want to just get off the plane and straight to a hotel. Walkable from every terminal. About 10-15 min walk from Terminal 3 through the covered walkways.
I've stayed at Hotel Football three times whilst attending the Radar Festival, which was held at the 02 Victoria Warehouse, across the street from the hotel. All three stays have been very enjoyable. You can have all your meals at the hotel if you want, which is very convenient. It's clean, cool, and comfy. From the hotel I could walk to the movie theater- which was great! I had an excellent stay at the Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre and would definitely stay here again. The location is fantastic , right in the heart of Manchester and within easy walking distance of the Arndale, Northern Quarter, restaurants, bars and transport links.
