Plum Point Lodge was very enjoyable as it is relaxing, beautiful, has nice staff and was a perfect place to stay in short distance to Watkins Glen and its attractions
First of all, the owner/operator Jim proactively called us to confirm our arrival time and couldn't have been more pleasant. When we arrived, he upgraded us to the best room in the lodge which was an absolutely gorgeous, beautifully appointed studio apartment sized suite that was just as clean and comfortable as could be. Very clean, modern hotel. Breakfast is so good, with many fresh baked pastries and breakfast pizza. There is also a brewery right next door, so that is a bonus! Highly recommend.
My friend and family went up for a weekend to do a self guided wine tour. My best friend and I share a birthday and we were celebrating! We booked at this hotel not knowing anything about it. Definitely lived up to its "fabulous" rating! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and clean. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The options for the continental breakfast were many and even nicer was that everything was individually wrapped (but fresh, NOT pre-packaged and sealed with no expiration date!) and pancake machine was touchless. A little further off the interstate than we anticipated but worth the drive. Would stay again
The property was beautiful. We loved the chalet that we stayed in, super comfy bed, beautiful views, no matter which one you stay in. Staff was very kind, helping us park our trailer, and being accommodating. Would highly recommend this little secret in Watkins Glen.
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Laurel for the weekend as it was our anniversary. We enjoy visiting the area and wineries at least once a year. The view from our room was absolutely beautiful. We had a complete view of Seneca lake and liked how close we were to downtown Watkins Glen.
Our hosts, Charlie and Rebecca, were very gracious and gave us pointers for dinner locations. The room was very cosy and the breakfast scrumptious. Their coffee brand is worth trying even if you are not a coffee drinker
The most comfortable beds ever. Nice location and peaceful outlook onto lake. The hot water did go out but it was resolved by staff. Things happen and it didn't change the way I would rate. We had a great time here. The keyless entry was very appreciated. There was always a staff member around if needed on site.
The hotel was excellent as a base for visiting several state parks in the area, the closest being Watkins Glen which is so close the hotel parking is just outside the official parking. The hotel has character from the rooms down to the unique features of selling its own home made ice-cream and beeswax. The breakfast is simple but nice, waffles (with the help of the waffle machine), apples, bananas and coffee.
