We could not be happier with our stay here!! Alex (manager) was a excellent host! This is a beautiful hotel across the street from the beaching a safe enclosed tropical garden. The pool and jacuzzi are perfect additions to this relaxing environment. I highly recommend this place! We are already making plans to go again next year!
Let me start by saying we had originally planned on staying only two nights, but then left our highly rated and fully paid for hotel to return to this gem. Why? It is new, immaculate, beautiful, with ice cold AC, large shower with plenty of hot water, a well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, private patio with hammocks ( and hot coffee waiting each am), sloths, parrots, kinkajous, a private path to the beach, beautiful gardens and pool, delicious big breakfast, really wonderful staff, attention...
Marise was a great host. She gave us a bag of great Costa Rican coffee upon arrival and cooked us a delicious breakfast our second night.The location was perfect. This hotel is beautiful. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was cozy and comfortable. The pool was relaxing. The food and drinks were great and I enjoyed the free breakfast. I loved how close I was to the black sand beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I look forward to staying here again in the future.
This was a beautiful, literally just opened (only 4 weeks at the time of our stay) hotel. With literally no available reviews, we took a chance on staying here vs the more established Le Cameleon hotel and we were not disappointed. Marcellino and his wife were wonderful and gracious hosts. Cabins are wonderful but could use AC on the steamy nights. Grounds are immaculately kept and secure. 200 meters to the beach doesn't hurt. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
The room and facilities were very nice, breakfast was good. But the main reason for our very favorable review is how the entire staff and the owners were so helpful. They spent lots of time talking to us and had useful recommendations on what to do, where to go, what to eat, and in general gave a wonderful introduction to the area. Above and beyond what we have experienced at similar properties.
This cute hotel was on the main road in Puerto Viejo, however, it sits back so you don’t hear all the noise from the traffic or restaurants. Great location. It rained most of our trip so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Our 2nd day some little bugs appeared in the bathroom, there were a lot; we called and they came right up and sprayed.
