Staff were excellent, food was great! For customer service and food, this is one of the best places in DR. Bubble is a nice novelty - bed is excellent, bath terrific. It is not camping - it is practically a luxury hotel room! The 2.5 stars doesn't do this justice. If you are interested in star gazing there is a telescope in the room but you'll have to figure out how to stop the condensation. I'm sure the staff can explain you. The convenience to all the tourist attractions is ideal. The views of the ocean from my terrace and the mountains via the patio are spectacular. The property owner had great communication before and during my stay. I slept great! My suite was well equipped. The refered transportation was professional and punctual throughout my stay. I look forward to visiting Puerto Plata again.

On-site staff where excellent. Nice place great bargain. While not within walking distance of anything I will definitely stay at this secluded location. Pros: Outstanding view and roomy place great staff. Cons: Small Television and little pillows.

We spent our honeymoon at Villa Taina and absolutely loved it. We did not want the all inclusive experience because we wanted to explore the country and get an authentic feel of the Dominican and the people. While the hotel is located in a "tourist town", we still feel that we got to experience the locals and all the area has to offer.
