We recently stayed at this hotel for 6 nights on vacation. Although not in central Zurich, it was easily accessible (about 20 minutes) by train. In fact, we used the trains as our mode of transportation mostly and this hotel is just across the street in perfect location. There are many restaurants and shopping nearby within 3 to 5 minutes walk, as well as a small local grocery next door.

For someone that came to visit from out of town, it was so convenient having the train station nearby. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly, they have everything you need. Breakfast is not complimentary, but they do have a tea and coffee station that's accessible at anytime. The staff spoke English so that was a plus. Staff were welcoming and worked efficiently; room was clean and much larger than MOST hotels I found in Zürich for much higher prices and which did not include breakfast like this hotel does! The breakfast was EXCELLENT, with a custom, self-serve, espresso coffee machine included. They also had a HUGE selection including made to order omelettes, many breads & cheeses, hot & cold food, fresh fruits.

We traveled to Switzerland for the first time and decided to stay here instead of Zurich because it was cheaper. It is far from all the touristy places but that made our stay more peaceful being away from all the crowds we rented a car so location wasn’t a huge problem for us since we just drove everywhere. Breakfast buffet was pretty good and convenient.
This hotel is conveniently next to the airport with a connecting walkway. But it’s unlike any airport hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It’s super clean and stylish - reminded me of a fancy tech campus - surrounded by posh restaurants and work spaces. The park (circle) is walkable and the view at the top is pretty.

The Dolder Grand is simply the finest hotel in which I’ve ever stayed. From staff service to the amenities of which there are many, to the accommodations themselves, the Dolder Grand is unmatched in quality by any standards.
The hotel is great. Rooms are big modern and clean, the view of the lake is fantastic , and the staff is excellent. It is however a bit of a walking and 15 min of public transport to go to Zurich so may not be the most convenient place to stay if you want to spend a lot of time in Zurich..
