I was a little worried during the taxi ride to the hotel that I had made a terrible mistake in picking the hotel as some of the areas look a little rough (by American standards), however, once at the gated hotel I realized that I indeed had made a good choice when choosing the location as the property is incredibly calming and beautiful. Just know that since you are out of the city you will need to use Uber eat or a taxi to get food as there is no onsite restaurant.
We loved everything about this hotel and we are so happy we chose to stay here. The hotel was very clean; we would come in and our room would smell and look amazing. The food options at the restaurant were excellent (we tried all the local dishes and local juices/milkshakes). We felt that the location was perfect- we liked the fact that the airport shuttle was easily accessible; we felt safe walking around the area; and the best part was having a Walmart so close (walking distance) for snacks...
The hotel is located on top of a mountain with great expansive views. Its very cool at night but warm during the day. The cabins are cozy but have cooking facilities. The pool is refreshing. Javier does a great job making guests feel comfortable. Breakfasts were included and very tasty. There's a lot to do in the area. Poas Volcano, Grecia, and Sarchi is closer. Highly recommended.
We only stayed here for an evening as a stop over before our flight but we really enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and really helped us out when we couldn’t get an Uber due to a local event. The rooms were modern and clean and the pool area was peaceful.
The hotel is in one of the best location in San Jose if not the best. The staff and facilities are excellent. Outstanding breakfast which is already included on the rate.

You feel welcome the minute you set foot in the hotel! Staff is very helpful and at ease! Our shower didn't have hot water and they offered us immediately another bigger room with a great view as well. We kept our little room with our incredible view. Luckily the water problem was fixed very soon. :-)

We were pleasantly surprised at this hotel. It is just as the pictures show and better. Our room and the rest of the hotel was spotless. Front desk and restaurant/bar staff were very kind. We only stayed one night but I would definitely come back. Free shuttle to airport was great as well.
I find no fault whatsoever with this hotel. I liked everything. It had a safe in the room where I could lock up my electronic devices whenever I wanted. The complimentary breakfast was very good with a wide variety of foods. Plenty of hot water. Free coffee in the room and at breakfast. You can buy expensive or less expensive food at the restaurant. We booked this room late in the evening, but they had everything ready for us, including free parking. The reception was very cordial, and the staff very accommodating. There was air conditioning, and the rooms were flooded with beautiful light in the morning. The bathroom was more than adequate. We had a breakfast-include package, and the food was very good, and the service was wonderful.
We have always enjoyed staying at this property because it is clean, quiet and has the best breakfast in town. We fly in from Oklahoma and often arrive in San Jose late enough we need to spend the night before going to our home on the South Pacific coast. This is a place you can count on being a good quality hotel.
Great experience, nice staff and great restaurant downstairs. Good pool and amazing breakfast. Walking distance to very good restaurants and if you don't mind a 10-15 minute walk through nice environment and a big park it is walking distance to downtown area with marketplace, small shops, souvenir shops, etc.
