I liked the hotel itself and the location, however this was all self service property. When you get there, you have to use a machine to check in, there’s literally no human individual to welcome you in, not one soul. They didn’t offer clean service, at all. We spent a week here for our anniversary and the setting is hard to beat. The resort is spotless, the lake and mountain views are postcard-perfect, and the staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. If you want quiet, clean air, and scenery, this delivers.

We had a fantastic room on the third floor with a view of the beautiful lake. The staff were extremely pleasant especially checking in and out. The breakfast was very good and so fresh. Tea and coffee plentiful as with croissants and all other quality breakfast items. The beds are super comfortable and room spacious. Will definitely be coming again.
Hotel Felmis turned out to be a very good choice for my wife and me. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a nice view of the mountains from our room. We were driving, so we appreciated the very convenient parking. We took the bus from right in front of the hotel to downtown Lucerne, without having to hassle with parking in Lucerne. The area around the hotel is very nice.
Absolutely recommend this hotel if staying in a Engelberg. The hotel was a great place to spend two nights in Engelberg and is located in the center of town, about a 3 minute walk from the train station and a 12 minute walk to the cable car up to Mount Titlis (free shuttle from the train station if preferred). My room had a lovely balcony complete with flowers and a great view. The staff at the front desk and at breakfast were both very friendly. I hope to get the chance to stay at this hotel...
