I recently traveled to Barbados early June for my birthday. The hotel staff was very warm and friendly; they checked in on my friends and I daily and gave us great advice of places to visit, places to eat and booked a catamaran excursion for us that picked us up and dropped us off. Rosie at reception is amazing!! She was funny and sweet and even gave a a bottle of wine on my Birthday! The general experience was quite good, the hotel menu selection was ok. and service quite good.
The public transportation was quite easy and accessible. .
However,there was a misunderstanding on the package booked.
Although my party consists of (4) four person, however, the breakfast was only available to (1) one person.
This was not made clear when the booking was made. we discovered this the day we checked in..

The host and property were welcoming and ready to accommodate our stay. A taxi driver was arranged in order to navigate our way around the island. Breakfast was copiously prepared as requested and minor details throughout the trip were cared for. Thank you to the hots!

The people that run the B&B were great and made sure we were taken care of. We arrived pretty late at night but Gerry was right there to meet us at the front gate. Had 2 glasses of ice water waiting in our room. Enjoyed the breakfast and time just visiting with them.
We booked reservation in Island Inn because the Amaryllis Beach Resort closed. It was our first all 'inclusive experience' and we were very pleased by the variety and quality of the meals provided. The owner of the Inn was a most gracious host and the staff one and all were a delight.

After reading a few of the reviews on this site I was wary, but we had an 18-hour layover and needed a place to sleep. I figured, whatever, we can at least just sleep there. We LOVED it. From the moment we checked in (on our honeymoon) until we left 6 days later our experience was awesome. The general manager took the time to learn our name, greet us upon arrival and again as we left. Fellow guests were all friendly. My rental car's battery died and they took care of everything while we were off playing golf. The food, especially daily breakfast, was fabulous. All needs were anticipated without request necessary. All-in-all, a great trip (I highly recommend Barbados as well).
This was my first trip to Barbados. I selected this hotel specifically for the design, decor and aesthetics.... and yes the hotel is as beautiful and vybesy as pictured. If you are trying to decide between the Marriott properties- this is definitely the best (more to open soon though).
