I went to Kyiv for a three-day get away. The hotel was a little hard to find, but once I got there it was really nice. The hotel staff was very friendly, and very accommodating, since I did not speak Ukraine or Russian. The food at the restaurant there was delicious, and it is nearby to the historic districts and tourist sites. From that location, I was able to see a lot of things in a quick amount of time. From the U.S. Staying in Kiev for business for 5 days. I was unsure about this hotel because of the mixed reviews but I can say this was easily one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms were huge, full facilities with a bedroom, full closet, bathroom, living room, and kitchen. The staff was very helpful booking us taxi's when necessary and we are a cooked breakfast every morning at the restaurant. As my first trip to Eastern Europe I wasn't sure how good the facilities of the hotels...

Modern, very central, new building with very nice room. Excellent bed and pillows, Bathroom is small with walk in shower. The view on city from most rooms is nice.

Such a great business-stay hotel! Everything you need is 5 feet away! Staff is wonderful and very accommodating to all your needs. Will definitely stay here again while visiting Kiev next time!!

I ended up staying at the Greguar Hotel, where the key pick-up location was. The room had everything you need - a comfortable bed, a mini kitchen, a normal hotel bathroom, and a washing machine - good for long and short term stays. Very friendly staff and good internet. The hotel is a block from the metro and very near the main train station and main bus station - a quick taxi ride away.

Hope that this terrible was on Ukraine ends soon and the sovereign people of remain free and independent.

I spent 8 nights at the Vozdvyzhensky in late October, as a tourist. It was my first trip to Kiev. I do hope to go back, and I would not consider any other hotel. Its location is perfect for exploring the city; EVERYONE working there was extremely warm and helpful, and completely welcoming. Breakfast in the restaurant was a pleasure each morning with a buffet plus hot dishes made to order; and I ate dinner there as well. The Opera Hotel is on a quiet street where you can relax in luxurious comfort, without any pretension. The beds, linens, and bathroom amenities are excellent and you feel pampered, but your privacy is respected as well.

The hotel, the staff, the atmosphere could not have been better. All of the front desk girls could not have been nicer, or more helpful for me. I do not speak the language but they were ready everyday to help with Taxi and directions. Upon my departure which was very, very early they even set up the taxi at 3:30am and had a box lunch for me. The front desk girl even made me a cup of coffee while I waited for my taxi.

Stayed 6 days during the new year. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The facilities were fantastic.
