Hotel is on East Railay, but it is only a short walk to West Railay and Phanang Beach. It is waterfront on East Railay. The facilities are wonderful--infinity pool, dining, rooms. The rooms are divided into the economy rooms (a short walk) and the more superior rooms (very close to dining and pool). The bungalows and cottages are so cute with the most beautiful woodwork. Outdoor pool looked very nice. Beach area disappears almost completely at low tide, which was cool for nature walks. Being close to the ocean, some wood, especially on the steps up to the cottage were a little soft / mild humidity rot. There are a lot of wild and stray dogs in town, so if you are not a dog person, this may not be the right area for you. Overall, would recommend this to anyone feeling a little adventurous...

We had a FANTASTIC time at Rayavadee! Throughout our travels in Thailand, we stayed at all 5 star hotels and resorts, but this was by far our favorite.
