This hotel is conveniently next to the airport with a connecting walkway. But it’s unlike any airport hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It’s super clean and stylish - reminded me of a fancy tech campus - surrounded by posh restaurants and work spaces. The park (circle) is walkable and the view at the top is pretty. Courteous and friendly staff, and the property was clean and well-appointed. It's in a commercial area which is to be expected for an airport hotel, but it's an easy few-minute walk to the Rumlang train station which is a short ride to Zurich center.

The hotel thought of every little detail. On arrival, one could have a cool drink. We recently stayed at this hotel for 6 nights on vacation. Although not in central Zurich, it was easily accessible (about 20 minutes) by train. In fact, we used the trains as our mode of transportation mostly and this hotel is just across the street in perfect location. There are many restaurants and shopping nearby within 3 to 5 minutes walk, as well as a small local grocery next door. The daily breakfast was included and they were excellent - various types of breads pastries, eggs, sausage,...

Modern interior, operatable windows, air conditioning, and really nice breakfast.

We stayed in the Junior Suite and it offered a nice layout for a family of 4. The location walkable to the Old Town and there was a delicious restaurant in the building.

My husband and I spent 6 nights here last week. wE were here for a conference in the Technopark which is literally across the street from the hotel.Our room was fairly spacious and cery clean, very nice walk in shower.A mini-fridge is included which is good. The staff were extremely nice --from the front desk staff who uniformly were wonderful to the waiters and bar staff to the housekeeping staff. I really couldn't ask for any more from the staff. I have stayed at the Altstadt several times over the years, it’s a great boutique hotel in an excellent location in the middle of the old city. Always very clean and accommodating.

Was great for a long layover. Take the train to old town Zurich and get the fondue at Swiss Chuchi.

Lots of shopping and sightseeing the day before New Year's Eve. Plenty of good places to eat.

This hotel was hip, functional, and friendly...a super spot to rest, while still being able to walk to the atmospheric old town.

Hotel is close to everything and just far enough from the crowds to make it enjoyable. Good price, very clean room, great staff. Free Wi-fi was superb. Helpful, courteous front end staff that went above and beyond and sometimes out of their way to make us feel comfortable, and find lots to do in the city and surrounding area.
