After Sahara tour and a day’s travel by taxi from Mezouga, we’re really exhausted. Walking through their modest front door, we found ourselves in a lavishly beautiful oasis. Riad Layla was perfection! The staff was polite and so incredibly helpful. We had never said in/near a medina. They gave us a great map, restaurant recommendations, set us up with the best tour guides and drivers, and accommodated everything we needed. Our stay in Fez was an absolute success because of the wonderful people at Riad Layla. Excellent breakfast, gorgeous views from the roof, lovely rooms. Highly recommend to everyone.
We were greeted by the staff at Riad Layalina with tea and delicious food even though the hour was quite late. Throughout our 6 day stay the staff was gracious, accommodations lovely and the food was consistently excellent and varied. The staff even made a late night run to the pharmacy to pick up some antibiotics for our daughter who was not feeling well.
The pictures don’t do it justice. We arrived to a warm welcome from our host. They gave us tea and cookies and told us to get comfortable while they made dinner. The dinner was on the rooftop with a view and it was a dreamy night. We loved it so much that we decided to change our plans and we stayed here another night. I highly recommend. The staff felt like family by the time we left.
Clean Riad that had beautiful traditional Moroccan details. Beds were more comfortable than other roads and we had the best service. Haddou escorted us to places where our tour groups met and in Fes, the Medina is so large and twisty that Haddou’s help made us feel much more safe and secure.
