Very pleasant. Five minute walk to old town and major shopping street. Roof top sitting area to enjoy a view on to the city with a drink. Restaurant, sitting area etc. Well done in keeping with a smaller European hotel.
We stayed here for the last 2 nights of our Switzerland trip. We arrived around 11 am and we were able to check in early. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff were all very friendly. The hotel is right in the middle of restaurants, shopping etc but it also wasn’t loud at night as we slept with the window opened every night. An easy walk to the airport for an early morning flight. Coming to the hotel we walked on the outside. The hotel staff told us of the shorter way. Coffee, croissants, and apples were available, at no charge, for all of us early birds to take with us.
It should be a great place to stay in Zurich and very close the ZHR airport. Definitely go back and stay here. Also, this hotel is a few steps from Rumlang Station. Strongly recommend to people.
The hotel is very clean and the beds were very comfortable. This property is right where you want to be if you want to shopping, yet it is also very quiet. There are so many places to eat and shop. We spent hours just walking by the river and seeing the sights. We would definitely stay here again
Truly wonderful location! Great to have a tram stop right in front, but also was an easy and beautiful walk over the footbridge crossing the Limmat and through the Platzspitz park to the Hauptbahnhof. The views of the Limmat and the industrial quarter all the way to Uetilberg from our 6th floor windows were really stellar! We liked being able to open the big window for some fresh Spring air! Hotel Marta was in the perfect location! Walking distance from the train and right near all the restaurants and stores. It was still very quiet in the room at night. The room was small and minimalistic but we didn’t spend much time in the room so it was fine.The staff was very friendly and helpful, they let us check in prior to official time. The breakfast was vegetarian; yogurt, toast, cereals, fruit, etc. I would definitely recommend hotel Marta!
Courteous and friendly staff, and the property was clean and well-appointed. It's in a commercial area which is to be expected for an airport hotel, but it's an easy few-minute walk to the Rumlang train station which is a short ride to Zurich center.
I have stayed at the Altstadt several times over the years, it’s a great boutique hotel in an excellent location in the middle of the old city. Always very clean and accommodating.
