We needed a quick hotel book because my car broke down in a road trip. This was a great choice! The room was large and comfortable, even had an extra sink in the room with a microwave and small fridge. The breakfast in the morning was real nice andbthey had a snack bar that was reasonably priced. They were very courteous and allowed me to leave my car a couple nights after we departed, so that when we returned after reaching our destination, it was safe and ready to be towed.

This is an amazing find tucked into the quaint harbor area of Lewes. The hotel is well-appointed and welcoming and the room was spotless, huge, and beautifully decorated. The little touches really made the stay, from the koi pond on the patio outside to the taffy on the pillows instead of mints. The pool was small but refreshing. The staff were friendly and seemed happy to help resolve any issues. Well worth it!

Welcoming staff. You could smell the cleanliness when you walked in the front door. Beds exceptionally comfortable. Clean rooms (& I’m hard to impress in that department) with the exception of a couple of spots on the ceiling that I’m pretty sure could be easily cleaned off. I won’t say what it appeared to be, but they need to clean it off. Pool is NOT heated, just FYI. I only like heated pools, but the rest of the family enjoyed it. This property is outstanding for two basic reasons: location---the beachfront views are unbeatable (the ground floors may not have a view, it should be noted). Also, the staff were phenomenal. It seems that they are especially trained to be personable, interested, and thoughtful. Truly impressive 5 star quality of service. The only thing that is unfortunate are our friends who require elevators. The hotel doesn't have elevators for the rooms with great views.

Always a nice stay at the Avenue. The only thing I would change is the brand of coffee. I do not like their coffee it tastes weak and has no boldness at all to it. Everything else is wonderful. Please get a better brand of coffee, maybe from one of the local roasters in town. Having a good bold coffee and supporting local coffee shops in town would be a great addition to an already great Inn. Coffee starts your guests day, help make it a much better start.
