ibis budget Portsmouth
8/10 Good
"It was an ibis budget you get what you pay for"
New Place
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely hotel and pool. The grounds are beautiful to walk round."
ibis Portsmouth Centre
8/10 Good
"The Ibis is almost like two different hotels. Downstairs is stylish and well maintained. The rooms upstairs are quite basic and cramped. Air conditioning would be a big plus - desk fans are noisy and it's hard to sleep with one whirring away all night. I stayed in a twin room and found the beds rather narrow and the pillows flat. The low water pressure in the shower made a lengthy experience of trying to rinse shampoo from my hair! More than two towels in total would have been useful, as would a separate conditioner provided in the shower. But the hairdryer was vastly superior to those usually found in hotel rooms which was a nice surprise! Breakfast in the morning was fantastic. There was a great choice of different foods and everything looked nice and fresh. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was of a high standard and staff were pleasant and helpful. If a few upgrades were made, the Ibis would be an ideal stay for those tired travellers just off the ferry, and indeed everyone else needing a reasonably priced bed for the night. On the whole I would recommend it, just perhaps not in the heat of the summer."

"Really great hotel would definitely book again"
The Railway Hotel Worthing
10/10 Excellent
"We arrived at 2pm but found check in from 4pm, however staff on reception gave us labels to ID our bags and took them into the back office. I asked which items on the menu were Dairy Free and same member of staff went to see the chef. He returned with notations of which items suitable and which could be adapted. I chose Hake and chips and a large portion arrived with peas and DF tartare sauce. Our room was ready soon after we finished our meal and the Manager helped us take our luggage to our room. We attended a party nearby and when we returned we each had a snack. Husband enjoyed spicy chicken and I had hummus which was beautifully presented with a chopped sauce of peppers and pomegranate seeds together with warm bread. We chose the full English breakfast which was not included in our booking and they were delicious and huge. The following morning I requested a the same breakfast and husband had a large portion of scrambled egg on toast. Staff members were excellent checking allergy contents and even offered oat milk although I had asked for black tea. The bar and hotel are Victorian in origin and well restored with a modern twist. Our room was basic but the large bed was clean and very comfortable and the bathroom had a huge walk in shower."
Holiday Inn Portsmouth by IHG
8/10 Good
"Rooms a little tired, great location. Bar was great as was the check in and out team. One big downside was breakfast. Quality is very low no fresh mushrooms or tomatoes, eggs not great and the veggie option sausages were frozen when delivered though the veggie bacon was good."
Old Thorns Golf Resort and Spa Hampshire by Accor
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent resort, we stayed in a 2 bed apartment, very spacious, well equipped and on the ground floor we benenfitted from sliding doors and some outdoor space. We are at the restaurant on three occasions, afternoon tea, which was excellent, evening meal, which was delicious, and breakfast. The latter was buffet style, reasonable choice, have had better but it was by no means bad, though the bar was set pretty high with the other meals. The pool and sauna were excellent, the gym was huge, would highly recommend"
The Langstone Quays

"Great location with stunning views over the estuary. Very easy parking. Very helpful staff throughout our two night stay."
Village Hotel Portsmouth
