Hotels in Great Bentley

Great place to stay but you need a car to go to nearby places of interest. Due to "covid" the management have used what used to be the car park in front of the Pub with outside seating leaving only space for 1 car. There is however no parking restrictions along the section of road it is in. It only has 4 rooms and we got room number 4, it has obviously been recently refurbished and was very nice. Had a decent size toilet/ sink / shower room. not a problem for us but if you can not climb...

Staff, amenities and location

Rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was good and great value. If we had any issues, the staff were quick to fix them. Thank you.

Couldn't be better in anyway. Room was very clean and updated, hosts were friendly and breakfast was excellent, especially the French Toast with fruit compote on it.

The hotel is a beautifully converted Salthouse. It has modern amenities but has maintained the old character of the building. The staff were excellent; very friendly and efficient. I would definitely stay there the next time I'm in Ipswich.

This property is exactly in the name--boutique. It is quaint and quiet. Great location to walk to nice restaurants and shops. The staff is very friendly.

The Marlborough is a pub with tasty food and about five rooms for overnight stays. The staff is outstanding and does everything possible to be helpful. It is on a central street of a very small town, so it can be a bit noisy during the day and early evening, but is quiet at night. The rooms have nice versions of all the basics, including a good bed and excellent shower. There are few extra amenities beyond the room and pub, although the breakfast was very good. The Marquis has just completed renovations, and while there were a few teething problems, the staff was wonderful. They could not have done more to make our stay wonderful. Special shout out to David, Ryann, Lucy, Emma, Kate, Annabelle, Carmin, and everyone else we came in contact with, all were wonderful. The spa and pool were not even mentioned as they just opened, the facility is one of the best we ever visited, again with the staff to match. We are looking forward to our next stay.

This is a great hotel with friendly welcoming staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. The food is tasty and satisfying despite quite a small range of options. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The on-site health suite is good although small so not always available if busy.

Clean room, very helpful staff. Overall a very positive experience except that a rat ran across the parking lot from the smokers area into the bushes while we were standing there waiting for a cab to take us to dinner at about 6:30 pm. Kind of made me wonder…..

What a great option for a traditional English B&B. Easy check-in, breakfast was delicious, and the grounds were beautiful. Highly recommended and a great value!

Perfect stay with the perfect amount of space. We have family nearby and this was a perfect location and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast hamper was a great plus! We will be booking again in the future.

We stayed one night, our room was upgraded at no charge which we really appreciated. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfy. We had dinner in the restaurant with friends The food was fabulous, the staff very attentive and friendly. An excellent stay, we will return and absolutely recommend.
