I stayed at the Landwehrbrau for two nights with a colleague of mine. We had an exceptional stay from the time we arrived until we departed two days later. THe hotel is located about 4 miles from Rothenburg and is central located to many tourist stops in the area. The dinner is not to be missed nor is the brewery tour and tasting (for 8Euros pp). I would highly recommend this hotel.

Checking in was simple. The desk clerk was very helpful and spoke English and German. Our room was on the top floor of the hotel facing the street. The room interior was clean, modern and furnished well. The bathroom was nice, spacious with a tub/shower combined.
Centrally situated in old town, parking is a slight challenge. The hotel suggested using lot P4 or P5 to park overnight at 6 Euros. The walk is about 400...

The dining experience was absolutely superb. If I could give more stars, I would. He had very excellent wine pairings and was very helpful when we had questions. Helped us with our bags up and down the stairs. He even valeted the German super car we rented! Michael also made our breakfast experience smooth and easy. The staff is so friendly and attentive to their guests. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!
This was a perfect location. It is literally just a half block from the charming old town gate entrance.The rooms were very nice. It was a vintage building with modern rooms. The shared space was a nice touch. I highly recommend this place.
Rothenburg o. d. Tauber is a great place to visit and this hotel was located on the street where you enter from the train station, so it is very easy to find. And also about three stores from the square which is a great location for exploring. It was clean and quiet and had a great free breakfast.
Everything about our stay was amazing. We were warmly welcomed and all the staff was all top notch. Dinner was excellent. Our room was impeccable and the property is breathtaking. Breakfast was a highlight and we agreed the bed was the most comfortable out of all the places we stayed in our two week trip.
We would love to return and spend more time. Highly recommend!

We arrived at noon for 4 PM check-in. There was no one at desk so waiter in restaurant just said 4 PM. We had reserved parking but had to pay to park in public lot till 4 - not ideal and cost an extra eight euros. Room was updated, clean and quiet. We had three adults and it had a double bed and a single. Newly remodeled hotel in an older building in downtown Frickenhausen. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean, and everything looks brand new. Comfortable beds and the A/C works great. Friendly and helpful English-speaking staff, excellent breakfast, and nice beer garden. Free parking is a three-minute walk. We've stayed there twice during the summer of 2025. Would I stay there again? Yes!
Very cute, quaint hotel in Rothenburg. Our entire group really enjoyed this hotel. Very clean. The included breakfast was phenomenal. One of the best selections of buffet items I've seen in my European travels. Our room was spacious, and they welcomed you with a small token of candy and included bottle of water. Parking was close by and had two options: underground or external. Our friends did the underground and said the spots were tight. I suggest the external - it is about two streets down...
Very nice hotel, right across the street from the (really small) train station at Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The station surroundings are modern and clean, unlike most German cities. So it is a good location. It is a five minutes walk to the old city, passing through a modern, clean and safe neighborhood. The room provided to me was very spacious and clean, although I believe I was given an upgrade. The staff was friendly. The reception is not open 24 hours.
