We only spent one evening there. We drove up from Edinburgh for golf, then stayed overnight at the Kilmarnock and had a wonderful dinner. We got up in the morning and had breakfast before leaving for our next destination. The hotel was quite, clean and very reasonably priced for this small quaint little town.
We just had a beautiful 1 night stay with Karolyn & Chris in a very yummy room in a quite delicious & absorbing house. The room was good-looking and very comfortable. The bathroom was the nicest of all the hotels we stayed in that week, and included heated floors. Service was excellent. The grounds of the hotel are lovely - they have black Highland cattle and deer and of course the beautiful golf course, which we walked out to for the views. This is our place to stay in Peterhead. Good adjoining restaurant/bar with very helpful staff. Good menu with great breakfast. Rooms are always clean and supplied.
We have been coming back to Saplinbrea for a number of years. The staff and the food are excellent. The whole hotel has great ambiance, and provides a wonderful experience.
Only negative is that carpeting in corridors is a little tired.
