The Grey Gull Hotel

"The staff at the hotel was really friendly but if you have issues with lifting luggage it may be a problem getting up the stairs . We were not told when the breakfast was over so when we arrived at 950 am it was over and was only given toast and juice and coffee . We really enjoyed the supper as there was only one other place that was open in the village near by pier which was already booked for the night . The stay was really quite in the hotel which was also another plus but the beds were not the most comfortable which it would help if they had a topper on the mattress ."

"Very pleasant hotel, great views, staff were really friendly and helpful, just a very comfortable place to stay, ok so some parts look a bit tired but for me it had that undefinable 'something' that I found made me want to come back."

"It is electronic entry so we only so staff when they delivered our breakfast to the room in the morning. There are plenty of options close by for evening meal. Parking is close by at the harbour as you cannot stop outside the guest house as it is on the corner of the main road."

"We were very pleased with this property. Spacious and well equipped. Lovely welcome package and cosy warm on arrival. It had everything we needed and was central for what we wanted to do. Parking was easy and convenient. We would definitely recommend 1 Marine Place for a perfect stay on Bute"
