I booked this hotel not knowing it was just outside of Amsterdam in a village called Edam. It was the best thing!! Edam is only a 20 minute bus ride from Amsterdam’s Central Station. We got to see some of the country side and stay at a quaint little Inn for New Years Eve. We had a beautiful romantic dinner in their beautifully decorated restaurant. The only thing that surprised us was the quantity of fireworks that this community produced on New Years!! Amazing. We will surely go back!

체크인이 무인이라 해외 전화 발신 안되시면 불편하실거에요 유럽에서는 자주 있는 일이라 저는 괜찮았습니다 호스트분 정말 친절하시고, 아빠 건강때문에 엘베 꼭 필요하다고 하니 1층방을 주셔서 편하게 이용했습니다. 위치는 기차역 코 앞이고, 어디든 그냥 편히 다닐수있습니다. 욕실도 넓어요. 건식 아니라 편했습니다. 침대도 크고 편해요. 다시 돌아온다면 여기서 또 묵을겁니다.

I had a great stay at the hotel. The staff were super helpful and welcoming, and the hotel was clean and well maintained with all the necessary amenities. I liked the view of the canal from my room despite its facing a parking lot. the coffee machine was a nice touch that I especially enjoyed. The same machine can also make hot water. Thank you to Salvatore and the entire staff! I felt so safe, welcome, and comfortable at Purmerend City Hostel. North Amsterdam is much quieter which I appreciated. The round the clock 24/7 staff was always super friendly and helpful, accommodating and attentive to their guests. Perfectly located in central Alkmaar. Beautiful hotel and we stayed in a lovely room with a view overlooking the entire city. Some things to note about the hotel: 1. You have to check out the remote for the AC unit, which they didn't tell us at check-in, so we had to go back downstairs and ask about it. 2. There was a beam in the room that made the room look gorgeous, however the placement of the bed under the beam made head-smacks VERY LIKELY. This would be very easy to avoid with a simple...

This is a great place with a wonderful staff and a formidable restaurant. The room was clean, spacious and pretty, and everything had been arranged very thoughtfully. Highly recommended - and don’t forget to try their restaurant!

The service was more than we expected. They packed a breakfast for us when they knew we had to check out before breakfast. We would stay again.

The room and The public areas are spotless. The location is terrific, by being Located in the center of the town Where I find it pretty convenient to get fine foods.

The staff were kind and so hopeful and gave amazing recommendations for dining. There is an enchanting bakery only a few steps from the Posthoorn. It was a quiet and cozy reprieve from city adventuring.
