The location was good and walkable to the downtown restaurants and shops. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful with advising on area hikes. The only negative was the outside of the property could have more attention to detail. Will definitely go back next time in Peterborough NH.
The hosts were amazing, and very accommodating to our schedule needs. The rooms provided the perfect blend of historic atmosphere and modern convenience, and Matthew gave us a real feeling of the history of the place with his vast knowledge of the inn and its famous visitors. The owners are so kind, friendly, and thoughtful! I stayed here the night before the eclipse, and because they knew people wanted to leave early the next day to beat the eclipse traffic, they moved up the start of breakfast (poached eggs and bacon hash, yum!) an hour.
