I would give this place 10 stars if I could. What a pleasant surprise. If you are driving through Kansas and need a stop for the night, this is your place. The set up of the motel is perfect! The restaurant and patio is very nice. Good food, nice cocktails and great prices. Very nice staff. We have stayed in dozens of road motels and this one beats them all!
Cost is always a criteria for me. Motels in Hays that were safe, inexpensive, (less than $100) and clean were over $200 this weekend because of graduations. I was forced to travel 22 miles to Ellis to find an affordable room. The only drawback, the shower didn't drain. Other than that, it was convenient to the interstate and fast food. I will stay again, I think I will no longer stay in Hays. Hays has become too crowded and busy.
