We have been staying at the Quality Inn on our way to and from Florida. It is a well kept hotel and the staff is always very kind and friendly. We travel with a small non shedding dog and we like that they don't charge a large fee for the dog like most hotels do. A bonus is that there is a delicious place to eat nearby Mountain Goat Market. Great food. Best chicken salad sandwich ever.
I had the pleasure of staying at the Sewanee Inn with 3 friends, as our daughters stayed on campus overnight and attended a class the next morning. We had a beautiful evening sitting on the back patio by the golf course, with heat lamps that resembled torches adding to the ambiance. The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the dining room with a friendly, accomodating staff and delicious food! I LOVE it that the Inn has bicycles for guests to use , as the "Green lookout" as well...

This was an amazing property. Everything was clean and inviting. Our kitchen had everything we could possibly need. They left a notebook with recommendations and instructions.
Our dogs transitioned well and loved to walk around the lake. We will definitely stay here again if we return to the area.
Our only issue was the hard mattress. Neither of us could sleep on that. I suggest taking something cushy, like a thick sleeping bag.
