"We had a warm welcome and an easy check-in, the bistro/bar/outside area was a lovely setting in the evening sunshine and a great spot for breakfast in the morning, the room was a good size and everything was clean. We had a good sleep in the comfy bed and pillows. The hotel was easy to find having arrived by train and ideally located to the night life, close enough to stroll down but not so close you would be disturbed by it. Great weekend stay."

This a small working farm with I believe 3 rooms at for the bed and breakfast. The building was build in 1740. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we even had a private bath. The owner was absolutely amazing, she was friendly accommodating gave us many suggestions to place to se in the area. My wife said she would come back to England just to stay here. We loved this place
Lovely stay. The staff upgraded us to a larger room because of the extra stairs we had to climb with our luggage. They did not charge us. Dinner was delicious, and the service wonderful.
Firstly we have stayed here before and had a wonderful experience. The property is old and consequently does not have that modern minimalistic feel to it. I think the beds could do with replacing as you can feel the springs through the mattress topper. The stairs are a challenge on par with climbing Snowden. So why did we come back? Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. My stay was only one night, but it was exactly as I imagined a stay at an English Inn would be. The Tavern reminded me of The Holiday with its cozy atmosphere. Bed was comfy and the room was spacious. Shower was a little tight but workable. Otherwise, I will be coming back here again for longer. We were looking for a place to stay overnight after attending a friend's wedding in the area. The staff at The Fisherman's Haunt were very accommodating and allowed us to check in early so we could be on time for the wedding and have our room key for when we returned much later in the evening.
