Firstly we have stayed here before and had a wonderful experience. The property is old and consequently does not have that modern minimalistic feel to it. I think the beds could do with replacing as you can feel the springs through the mattress topper. The stairs are a challenge on par with climbing Snowden. So why did we come back? This a small working farm with I believe 3 rooms at for the bed and breakfast. The building was build in 1740. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we even had a private bath. The owner was absolutely amazing, she was friendly accommodating gave us many suggestions to place to se in the area. My wife said she would come back to England just to stay here. We loved this place
Lovely stay. The staff upgraded us to a larger room because of the extra stairs we had to climb with our luggage. They did not charge us. Dinner was delicious, and the service wonderful.

Had not visited IOW since a child over 60 years ago so loved everything - it did not disappoint . Breakfast was delightful with Bridget.

Beautiful hotel/pub with a great location near the beach. The room was comfortable with all amenities and some lovely personal touches (the toiletries were excellent and the homemade chocolate treats were, well, a treat!) The food in the pub was also great. Will stay again!
Beautiful hotel and our room was elegant, clean, and very comfortable. Not to mention that unbelievable view. I’m very picky about hotel bathrooms and this one was amazing. Loved the dual shower with great water pressure. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Lovely spacious room, good breakfast included, excellent scones and cake for Tea, good dinner restaurant, amazing location near the forest ponies, and bicycles for guests to use.
Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. My stay was only one night, but it was exactly as I imagined a stay at an English Inn would be. The Tavern reminded me of The Holiday with its cozy atmosphere. Bed was comfy and the room was spacious. Shower was a little tight but workable. Otherwise, I will be coming back here again for longer. About a 10 minute or less deive to Blackwater Arboretum and Tall Trees Trail in New Forest Park. And a short drive to Lyndhurst, which is a beautiful village. Good food...
