Hotels in Summertown

Truly excellent hotel with fantastic service. Food was best I have had in a hotel for years. Room was small but very well appointed and spotless. This is probably one of the best hotels to stay in Oxford. Well located, just a short walk to the city center.

The staff was some of the nicest people we met on our vacation in England. They went above and beyond to take care of us. The food was fabulous, we enjoyed dinner and breakfast. I will defiantly stay here gain,

Fantastic stay in a beautiful village right on the edge of the Cotswold. The entire place was really lovely, including the staff - I actually booked for the wrong date but they quickly fixed everything and was able to adjust. Rooms was excellent, very comfortable and beautifully decorated, I also had dinner in the garden and the food was delicious. Added bonus that the village is where some of Downton Abbey scenes were filmed so that was fun!

Updated hotel , very nice, has AC and elevator (small). Right next to the University and shopping streets.

This is an excellent place to stay while visiting Oxford. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. Our room above the pub was large and nicely appointed.

St. Margaret’s was lovely and comfortable. The garden out back is nice to see, there was a good breakfast, and the room was exceptional.

Great hotel and really nice diner. We had a family bunk room and it worked out well for our family of four. Located only 15 min drive from Farmers Dog pub if you are going there.

A truly delightful hotel in a convenient location with excellent staff and facilities. Impossible to fault overall - 2 tips… dont park under the trees in front of the building. I dont know what the birds eat, but they eat A LOT of it. Then theres steps….pack light, you’ll be hauling your luggage up a LOT of steps :-) - its a 13th century manor house, lifts werent a “thing” !

The hot water in the tap in the bathroom sink was very hot ,to the point of being scalding and the table lamps did not offer enough light for reading in bed. Showers in baths are not what people want anymore, walk in showers are much better and safer too. Overall the hotel is well presented, food very good and friendly staff.

Lovely stay all around!

We were so happy to book a family room (for couple with 2 kids) the day of our arrival into Oxford. The room was spacious and the AC was a welcomed relief with the heatwave. Very clean and spacious. The neighborhood is also delightful. The walk into the city center was beautiful. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful location in the countryside, in a sweet town that was fun to walk around and enjoy the peacefulness. Breakfast was great, and the staff were all very friendly.

Such an amazing stay! Loved the genuine cell block structure. Room was so spacious. Loved the bathtub. Location was exactly what we needed close to Westgate Shopping and Pembroke College only a quick walk to those areas as well as many dining options. Will definitely return in future.

I stayed 2 nights at The Bell Inn, and found it to be quiet and comfortable. Tucked away from the crowds, but within easy reach of all the charming Cotswold villages. The food was also tasty. They do an included continental breakfast of yogurt, granola, fruits, croissants, and jam. But ordering dinner there is worthwhile. Nice place for a pint and a pizza.

Wonderful, cozy inn with a great restaurant.

A truly mesmerizing experience. The room was of a standard comparable to the one we enjoyed at the Ritz in London. The castle and its surrounding grounds were beautiful and astonishing. The architecture was impressive in its history, beauty, and timeless elegance. The staff were polite and accommodating throughout. Altogether, it was a deeply enriching experience.
