Wonderful hotel - we'd give it all 5's if the internet had worked in the room. It worked fine in the lobby and was suppised to work in the room but our signal kept dropping. Other than that, really pretty hotel, nice room that overlooked the garden, good breakfast and well oriced.
Really great spa and pool, room, and food. Some important details: no spa admission after 8 pm, it reopens at 10 in the morning. Restaurant kitchen closes after 8 pm too, but they still serve drinks and charcuterie. Some staff spoke English and it was helpful because the receptionist did not. Also the credit card machine at the reception wouldn't process Hotels.com charges in dollars (but the restaurant's card reader can do it)
Hotel staff were very friendly and most spoke English very well. The location is perfect for taking in all the shopping, restaurants, and sight seeing.
We got a reduction that came out to 49 euros per night for this hotel. If you are a frequent traveler you know you can't expect much for this price but this was a really good surprise. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, bedding was really good (this is my top criteria) as i need good nights of sleep. One could tell that in its heyday, this was a very busy place. But still holding on and very nice. Nothing fancy, but everything was clean and well maintained. The food was fantastic-one of the best meals I've ever had.
