We were 24 hour flight delay back home to Dallas and so I made reservations for Aschaffenburg, Germany. This little hotel has 39 rooms, two dining rooms and the best hosts I have ever had the opportunity to meet. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and large. We had tea in the dining room, my husband entertained us on the keyboard and they catered to us as if we were royalty. Ready to go back. I liked everything. Owners where very helpful. The hotel was awesome. Loved being able to eat on the balcony. Breakfast, anything you can think of. The fresh eggs are a big plus. Also some suppers that where excellent. The room was spacious and I appreciated a great shower. Windows that open up to let fresh air in. Lots of trees surrounding the property and a great yard for kids to play. So much to see in the hotel on the walls and everywhere.

The hotel is remote, a drive with steep curves if you are driving a manual transmission, but so worth it. It is less than an hour from the Frankfurt airport. My room was up two floors with no elevator but the hotel staff carried up the suitcases without a problem. There are 2 restaurants, one is a high end gourmet establish for the "foodie" crowd.
