Great location opposite castle in center of town. Clean and well taken care of room. Nice bathroom, though small. Gracious and welcoming host. Could park directly outside.
great stop on the way to Paris. The owner, Marie Pierre, was a doll. She gave us food recommendations for food and fun. Nice room - smallish, but adequate and comfortable. I would stop here again.
This is my third time staying at The Grand Monarque. The location is excellent, bathroom and amenities great, good bed and sheets, friendly staff and lovely restaurant in an atrium. The breakfast is excellent, and I had lunch at the one star restaurant in the hotel which I never realized was there. It was superb!
I think the decor in the halls should be updated. They give the wrong impression of the hotel. Other than that, I love it.
It is my understanding that the hotel itself is managed by a family. Having stated this I can easily convey how great the customer service is. The staff is very friendly and willing to please. All of the staff speak English quite well which was a comfort to me since I have not studied any French in the past. The room itself was spacious for just myself and a double bed. The shower in the bathroom was extraordinary with the multiple messaging shower heads! It goes without saying that everything...

This hotel is a roadside hotel, and it is very nice for what it is. If you need a place to stay the night on your travels, I highly recommend this hotel. It is very clean and the rooms are very comfortable.
