The Life Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"It is hard to describe the amount of satisfaction that we enjoyed our entire stay with The Life Hotel in Marcelina. The characteristic that stands out the most is simplicity. We are not rich people so we usually choose to stay outside of large cities to avoid obscene prices for everything. This resort is around 40 minutes away from Rome. We chose to rent a car because I believe in my driving abilities. I truly enjoy the thrill of a good drive. If you can remember the movie The Italian Job with the little mini coopers racing through small alleys in villages, that is what my drive everyday was like. So for that I was thrilled. The little town of Marcelina is truly intoxicating. The room was simple yet accommodating. The French doors that opened to a terrace overlooking Rome was a big part of my mornings. Not to mention the view at night was breathtaking. As if that wasn't good enough they have an excellent restaurant where some of the best food we had was being made. We had his and hers massages and manicures by their spa technicians who were amazing. Then we had dinner with a great view through four to ceiling glass windows. The view overlooked Rome and Marcelina. The staff was very accommodating yet gave us privacy. The language barrier was easy to overcome and we would recommend this stay for anyone looking for maximum relaxation. The only thing I would wish for is a hot tub and better pool. "Excellent location on our way to Naples. Easy to find. Plenty of parking. The room was very small. Next time I would opt for something bigger. The desk clerk spoke no English. I muddled through in ‘Italian’. The high point here is the restaurant. It’s worth going out of the way to dine here. Amazing food and the waiter spoke a bit of English. The menu was translated so not a problem at all. No breakfast."

"Beautiful property and very helpful and friendly staff. Very thankful for strong air conditioning when getting ready for a wedding. The only downside was not having the ability to order food at the property. Since you really can’t walk easily to town I would recommend stocking up on some food for snacks."

"Honestly have 0 complaints about this place. I went with my fiancé and my two kids (4 years old and 6 months). They are super family friendly and everyone who works there is kind and helpful. They put on shows for the kids every night, really dance parties and my son enjoyed the water park so much. We traveled to Rome a lot, which is about 50 ish minutes, which my fiancé and I enjoyed but my son always looked forward to coming to the “hotel”. There’s also a lot of local food spots less than 10 minutes away, for when the restaurant at the resort is closed or you want different options (although everything we got from there was good!) I would travel back just to stay at this resort again!"

"Very clean rooms and very helpful staff too the location had great parking nearby which is a huge plus in that side of Italy the main sight seeing attractions or restaurants where maybe 30-40 mins away depending on traffic that would be one of my only downsides but seems it was the normal for a tourist since we aren’t allowed to drive in the (ZTL) zones which is where those sightseeing spots are so for a tourist renting a car this is your go to my last downside was the walls weren’t soundproof enough for the noise levels but other then that I enjoyed my stay if I was to come back to visit Rome this would be my go to"
