"We stayed for 3 nights in a 2-bedroom apartment as a family of four and overall had a very enjoyable stay. The apartment was well-appointed, comfortable, and well-suited for a longer visit. The resort amenities are a real highlight. There’s a heated indoor pool (though still a bit chilly in winter), tennis courts with racquets available for complimentary hire, bikes, and even canoes and paddle boats you can use on the dam — plenty to keep the whole family entertained without leaving the property. A couple of things to be mindful of: this was our second stay, and although we booked the same 2-bedroom option as last time, we were allocated a 2-bedroom apartment with only 1 bathroom (and 1 toilet), compared to a 2-bathroom setup previously. It’s definitely worth making a special request if having two bathrooms is important to you. We also experienced an issue with hot water — each evening around 8pm it would run out, despite not using much during the day. Earlier in the day it was fine, but this was a bit inconvenient for a family trying to get everyone sorted in the evening. Location-wise, it’s a great base for exploring Ballarat, with most attractions within a 10-minute drive. Overall, a relaxing and convenient stay — we’d happily return."
