The room was clean and comfortable and had a fantastic view of the river. The manager was very helpful in terms of where to eat. We tried the take away and eat in place attached to the service station next to the motel and we were very impressed with the standard of the food. Unfortunately it was Tuesday night and the Asian menu was not available but the grilled fish, chips and salad was excellent!

Byron Bay is a fabulous place for a laid back vacation. The beaches are very nice with reasonable surf. This place is about 3 blocks from the beach, and restaurants and shopping are very close. The cafe at the front of the property is quite good for breakfast or lunch, but the units also have a full kitchen, so you can eat in for a few meals to save a bit of money. The units are not luxurious, but comfortable and functional with A/C and laundry. There is a clothes line on the balcony for hanging...
