This was my favorite stop on the Camino Ingles from A Coruna. Communication beforehand was wonderful, beautiful one bedroom apartment was so charming and comfortable, and they went above and beyond to accommodate my celiac disease. I am both gluten and dairy free and they took great care to make sure I was well fed to continue on my Camino. The grounds are spectacular, and it’s literally right on the Camino Trail. The Akelarre hotel is very well connected with the airport and Santiago city center through a bus which runs very regularly. We had a great stay at Akelarre Hotel and found its location to be perfect for our travel needs while exploring the area. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Guests with walking disabilities or carrying heavy luggage need to be aware thar Mr. Alfonso was very helpful, kind and provided us very useful information.

Hotel has a great breakfast so you dont have to venture out early in the morning. Dinner on the other hand its not very good and you are probably better off eating at a local restaurant. The place is very well kept and clean. The room are nothing fancy but good. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is far enough from the city so you dont deal with the huge crowds but a taxi will be around 10 euros to get there. I would certainly stay there again next time.
